Demoiselles is a series of photographs showing hypersexuality as a mere marketing tactic by shopkeepers to attract customers.  Much like the sex workers of the dwindling red-light districts of Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, and London, presentation is everything.  The mannequins depict a fantasy emulating from a window to entice and titillate the consumer.  Almost ghost-like in their gaze, they recall an era of the dime-a-dance girl and the girls whom I knew worked in brothels, strip clubs, and the adult entertainment industry.
